About the artist

Ruben Ireland

I dream of these things and when I see them, they speak to me.

Ruben Ireland

Human, animal, fairytale or nightmare? The boundaries are blurred in Ruben Ireland's work. The graphic artist and illustrator merges traditional techniques with digital processes to create haunting, broodingly beautiful images. Darkly clad women, horned beasts and ancient ritual are recurrent themes in the London-based artist’s work. Austere colour palettes combined with uncomplicated compositions underpin the somber, otherworldly atmosphere of each piece.
