About the artist
Sometimes my tea becomes my paint brush water, and other times my paint brush water becomes my tea.
Julia Hariri creates paintings reminiscent of astronomical objects and lunar craters. The London-based fashion design student and illustrator, who hails from Düsseldorf, is inspired by the the unpredictability of how colour behaves on paper. Her creative process begins by testing out colour combinations and painting techniques on scrap paper until she achieves her desired effect, which she then transforms into her final design.
