About the artist

SMUCK

My drawings travel from head to hand and onto paper via my heart.

SMUCK

Borrowing its name from the Low German for ‘beautiful’, SMUCK is a design label with a focus on illustration. Founded by Hamburg-based Karin Postert as a way to realise her childhood passion of drawing and ongoing love of experimentation, SMUCK’s works are composed using analogue design techniques, from watercolours to eyeliner. Following her studies in Münster, Karin moved to Hamburg to launch her career as an Art Director specialising in fashion production. SMUCK’s aesthetic is inspired by all things visual: photography, street art, and the vortexes of Pinterest and Instagram.
