Every drawing is a challenge, because you can’t erase ink. One wrong line and the drawing is ruined.
Rik Reimert’s favourite tool isn’t some swanky computer program. Instead, the Dutch artist swears by a fine-nibbed Rotring Rapidograph pen, with which he creates intricate cross-hatched images of everything from animals to famous faces. Art runs in his veins: his grandfather, uncles and aunt are all artists and were his original inspiration. In 2011 he started a blog officially documenting his work. Today he draws inspiration from the likes of cartoonist Reinhard Kleist and writer and artist Frank Miller.
