Abstract & Geometric

Berlin boy Tom Bäcker started out in the world of business, but since 2006 he has devoted himself to photography. Self-taught, he considers himself less of a photographer, more of an artist who “writes with images.” His pictures mainly depict typography, billboards, adverts and signs – in an attempt to open these up to new interpretations. By focusing on such specific elements of our everyday lives he wishes to provide an abstract version of reality – a reality interpreted through geometric shapes, structures and repetition.
